Acupuncture is becoming more and more regularly used in UK medicine. It involves the inserting of very fine needles into the body, often without pain, but can cause a very short term sensation of pain to some. I use medical dry needling which is different to Chinese acupuncture which works along meridian lines. Dry needling focuses on the specific structures felt to be causing the symptoms, placing a needle to the required depth to affect that structure. All the needles I use are single use sterile needles and are perfectly safe.
