Effluage is a technique we use to aid drainage from areas of the body involving long strokes with light pressure on the skin. An example of use would be swelling in the legs due to injury or age related difficulties.

This involves a very similar process to acupressure with pressure held on a trigger point or a muscle in spasm until said spasm has stopped.
Acupressure works along the same lines as acupuncture without the use of needles, and involves placing and maintaining pressure on points of the body which help to release tension. I find it very useful in many symptom presentations, such as nausea from neck and shoulder tension.
